FAQ
Causes of insufficient corrugation height, uneven corrugation spacing, and skewed corrugation profile: Insufficient hydraulic forming pressure, mold wear/misalignment, off-center placement of the tube blank, and excessive forming speed
Increase the forming oil pressure, inspect and replace the corrugation mold, correct the center alignment, and form at a slow, constant speed
Causes of wave crest cracking and leakage: Substandard raw material quality (high impurity content, excessive hardness), insufficient wall thickness, severe work hardening, and excessive elongation
Verify material grades (304/316L/S32096), strictly control blank wall thickness, perform annealing before forming, and reduce elongation per wave
Causes of excessive wall thinning and localized scratches or gouges: rough mold surfaces without lubrication, excessive tightness of the forming die clearance, and burrs on the tube blank surface.
Polish the molds, apply a specialized lubricant, and pre-grind the outer surface of the tube blank.
Causes of poor overall concentricity and bending/twisting: Asynchronous multi-point corrugation, tooling positioning errors, and ovality of the tube blank itself.
